LG is a recognized expert in lung ultrasound and the youngest member of the First International Consensus Conference Expert Committee on Pleural and Lung Ultrasound, which wrote the first International evidence-based recommendations for point-of-care lung ultrasound.
She is born in 1981; degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2006, University of Pisa (110/110 cum laude and a recognition of merit for thesis work); certified in transthoracic echocardiography in 2008 by the European Association of Echocardiography; fellowship in Cardiology in 2011, University of Siena (70/70 cum laude); PhD fellow since 2011 in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology, University of Pisa; permanent staff researcher since 2012 of the Institute of Clinical Physiology, National Council of Research of Pisa.
From 2010 to 2012: member of the Scientific Committee of the European Association of Echocardiography.
Since 2012: Chair of the Subcommittee in Transthoracic Echocardiography of the Certification and Accreditation Committee of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging. Since 2012: board member of the Club 35 of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging.
Since 2009: member of the Italian Scientific Liaison Committee for the International Consensus Conference on Lung Ultrasound for WINFOCUS.
Since 2008: Associate Faculty Member of Faculty of 1000 Medicine, section «Cardiovascular Disorders».
