Bio
Is a specialist in internal medicine and gastroenterology and has been professor since 2001.
He was president of the Norwegian Society for Diagnostic Ultrasound in Medicine 2001-2007.
He was chairman of EFSUMB’s Education Committee 2007-11 and honorary secretary of ExB from 2011 and President Elect from 2013.
His present positions are:
- Professor, Dept. of Clinical Medicine, University of Bergen
- Director National Centre for Ultrasound in Gastroenterology, Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen, Norway
- Director of MedViz – an interdisciplinary R&D cluster in medical imaging and visualisation
